Research Development & Coordination Center:
 

Research Development & Coordination Center of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences (RDCC) started for the first time in Iran in 1384. In order to achieve the following goals, it was established under the management of university’s vice-chancellor for research and has supervised the activities of the covered units in educational hospitals of the university and supports them scientifically and financially.
With the aim of establishing certain structure in research field, RDCC’s development process entered a new phase since fall 1384. During multiple meetings of center’s members of policy council with experts, its outlook and developing strategy were determined.
General goals of Research Development & Coordination Center
Establishing appropriate foundation for research and empowering researchers including students and professors to conduct research and science production
Specialization and expending scientific advice services in research field and improving scientific quality of dissertations and research plans
Improving the education of research fields in curriculums of different degrees

Specific goals:

A) Creating proper research educating structure for students at medicine faculty level
Creating and expanding certain educational structure in research field of residency curriculum in medicine faculty
Creating and expanding certain educational structure in research field of M.Sc. and PhD curriculum in medicine faculty
Creating and expanding certain educational structure in research field of MD curriculum in medicine faculty
Establishing continuous monitoring system and feedback for holding workshops and providing educational services
Establishing research development & coordination center affiliated units in university’s educational hospitals

B) Creating proper research educating structure for students at university level
Certain educational system based on research
Certain empowerment of university students and researchers
Certain empowerment of faculty members by holding general and Small Group Education (SGE) workshops

C) Creating proper structure for providing scientific advice of theses at medicine faculty level

D) Creating proper structure for providing scientific advice for faculty members, researchers and students of the university
